Escape the great indoors and join us at the Woodford Reserve Distillery for a truly rewarding and relaxing experience. Stand on the banks of Glenn’s Creek in Versailles, KY amid our historic, secluded surroundings and listen to the rush of water and the call of birds while you learn the fine-art of southern fly fishing from two of Kentucky’s foremost experts on the sport.
After a gourmet brunch prepared by our Chef in Residence, Ouita Michel, you’ll also be taken on a guided walking tour to explore our property more in-depth and learn the fine art of handcrafting Woodford Reserve bourbon. Rob Knisely will delve into the history of fly tying and provide one display-quality carded fly for each participant in a classic pattern, dating from the same time period when Elijah Pepper settled in this area to begin distilling bourbon. Brandon Wade, an experienced fly-fishing guide will provide all the gear you need as well as hands-on instruction on balancing an outfit, selecting your rod, reel and line, reading the water, fly selection and casting techniques.
Cost is $150.00 per person. Reservations are required and class size is limited. Must be 21 or older to participate. Please call Kelly Malin at 859-879-1963 or email at kelly_malin@b-f.com to make your reservation. Please enjoy Woodford Reserve responsibly.
